Advantages

Best-in-class 18-pulse phase shift transformer as standard starting at 1000 HP.
  • Performs with low distortion which lowers harmonics for the local grid, exceeding IEEE 519 and most utility codes.

Cascaded H-Bridge is a proven state-of-the-art topology featuring:
  • An IGBT based multi-level voltage source inverter delivering low distortion output.

  • This design eliminates the need for filters and can control legacy as well as modern motors.

  • It is superior to 2 or 3 level inverters and far superior to current source inverter designs.

  • High system reliability with neutral rebalancing. The drive will continue to run if a power module fails so an operator can plan a controlled shutdown.

  • Maintenance is easy with a modular design, allowing fast swap out of power modules. The design also allows front access to all components.
